Mama in New England

This is us, as I navigate motherhood and enjoy the amazing adventure.

We are a family of four, a cat and a dog, living outside Boston, Massachusetts. I started this blog as a way to update friends and family who are afar, but it seems to have become somewhat therapeutic & helps me laugh when I need to.

Things I've Cut Out of Hair

I guess because Vivian has a head full of curls, things get tangled in her hair a lot more easily.  Some things I've cut out of her hair recently:

- a lollipop- somehow on the back of her head (nothing to do with Sam)

- paint

- a clump of hair similar to and that may have been, a dreadlock

- a battery operated train, it apparently felt good to run it over her body and but got immediately tangled in her hair (twice)

"Nap Time"

Apparently she wasn't sleeping....
This would be nail polish.  Also on her feet.

Vivian's Ear

After about 4 hours total of sleep last night...

At the pediatrician:
Doctor (to me): "so which ear is bothering her?"
Vivian (hand to ear): "this one"
Doctor: "okay.  And how long has it hurt?"
Vivian- holding up her fingers: "two minutes."
Doctor: "and what is wrong with it?"
Vivian: "it's green."
And that explains everything.
