Puerto Rico

Luckily we got to go to Puerto Rico (after the earthquakes, before the pandemic), and Sam and Chris had recovered from Flu B, and us females managed not to get it.

When Sam got to be in the cockpit and Vivian missed the whole thing and cried hysterically when Sam announced, "mom don't delete this photo." over the loud speaker.

Because why wouldn't you play football in the house? And then replace the entire window on a 32 degree day?

Ballet Costume

Lanie returned from ballet with her recital costume for her May performance. The following conversation occurred. 

Me: "Oh you got your recital costume."

Lanie: "Yes."

Me: "Great, it fits."

Lanie: "Yes, it does. And I'm now I'm finished."

Me: "Finished with what?"

Lanie: "My recital."

Me: "No, that's in May- a few months away."

Lanie: "No, I'm done."

Me: "You tried on your costume and then practiced. You're not done."

Lanie: "Yes, I am."

Me: "Um, you are wearing that to your recital in May."

Lanie: "No, the recital is finished."

The conversation stopped here. We'll resume in a few months.
