Mama in New England

This is us, as I navigate motherhood and enjoy the amazing adventure.

We are a family of four, a cat and a dog, living outside Boston, Massachusetts. I started this blog as a way to update friends and family who are afar, but it seems to have become somewhat therapeutic & helps me laugh when I need to.

Key

Sam is obsessed with keys lately, "locking" and "unlocking" anything that a key might possibly fit into- screw holes, gaps in furniture, toys, etc.  So he tends to raid the drawer where all the old and loose keys are, and we generally let him wander around with them (we're picking our battles right now).  Yesterday he was hanging onto the key to Chris's bike lock when we had to go on an errand, so to avoid a temper tantrum I let him take it.  We made it around Whole Foods and back incident free.  It wasn't until I was making my coffee this morning when Sam asked Chris for his keys and Chris responded, when something clicked and I froze.  Oops.
Today Sam and I had to go back to Whole Foods where I sheepishly asked if they had located a single bike lock key.  Oddly they had.  They were rather surprised that we had realized we had lost it.  It's safely back in the key drawer, at least until Sam finds it again.
